A station won't play

Stations go offline without warning; the catalog is community-maintained and a stream that worked yesterday may be gone today. Lume Radio retries three times, then tells you which station is unavailable and offers the next best one in the same country or genre. If a station fails repeatedly it is demoted so you stop running into it. If everything fails, check whether your connection is behind a proxy or VPN that blocks audio streams.

Playback stops when I lock my phone

Playback is designed to continue in the background with lock screen controls. On Android, if it stops, check that battery optimisation is not restricting Lume Radio in your system settings — aggressive power saving on some devices kills background audio.

Playback pauses and doesn't come back

Lume Radio pauses on interruptions such as a call or another app taking audio, and does not duck the volume. A live stream keeps advancing while it plays quietly, so you would rejoin mid-sentence. After an interruption, press play again.

A station is missing, or its details are wrong

Station data comes from the radio-browser.info community database, which anyone can correct. Adding or fixing a station there means it appears in Lume Radio — and in every other app using the same database — on the next catalog refresh.

Can I record or download a station?

No. Lume Radio streams live audio only. There is no recording, download, or timeshift, and there will not be.

Is there an iPhone version?

Yes. Lume Radio is on the App Store as well as Google Play. It is the same app on both, it is free, and neither version asks you to create an account.
